Paris Blues: Harlem NYC

Paris Blues: Harlem NYC

This has been on my to-do list for too long, I’d promised Tehrin Cole the bass player that I would share these images with him and I have eventually done so.

Paris Blues is Harlem’s oldest live jazz club, small, inviting and as we found has great music and we had visited in at the end of November ’17. Listed on this evening as John Cooksey (drums) and Spontaneous Combustion, we were entertained by the house musicians which included Charles Davis and Tehrin Cole as well as guest players.

With little light the Nikon D810 and 50mm prime fought a reasonable battle but this was never going to be about sheer technical quality.

Close enough for jazz as they say.
