If I look back through the catalogue I seem to have photographed at The Exeter Logistics Park quite a few times. With this commission it was great to photograph a working DHL facility for Stewarts, based in South Yorkshire. Although the Exeter site has been in operation for a while it looks great and photographed really well.
Apart from the photography aspect of these visits they are generally very interesting, to get the chance to walk round a working distribution centre and understand how the space works is fantastic. A quick guided tour of the site and a chat to the guys in Sheffield and I was left to it. There is a sweet spot after the morning rush where the site is able to be shot without too much intrusion on people getting on with their jobs!
