I’m a huge fan of rehearsing a photography job both mentally and (if possible) physically as well but of course you can’t cover all eventualities. In this instance lead times for the PR photography shoot at Lympstone Manor (Devon) were short and as is frequently the case along our coastline the new weather was approaching rapidly, not that the current weather was great. No problem, we can throw a bit of light around to help photograph the scene?
Often this would be doable except, and this is the bit I hadn’t envisaged, many of the subjects were to be wearing hi-vis and my engineering photography experience constantly highlights the fact that flash and hi-vis don’t work well together!
Michael Caines was the consummate professional but to be honest Richard Marsh and his team came up with the goods too and the images are now out there getting the message across.
For the record ‘Reduce’ is the one you will here me banging on about!
