Frankly we’d intended to be away but planes seemed to be getting cancelled and it looked like a recipe for bad memories. Instead we took in some music at Sidmouth. Although a jazz festival we enjoyed a range of blues performances then some full-on Cuban – Columbian fusion Indira Roman & Aji Pa’ Ti.
Great meeting Indira who originates from Havana afterwards who pointed out that the Cuban diez pesos note tucked in the back of my phone was no longer valid currency! Awesome energy and fantastic audience engagement.
Lucy Piper was having a stonking weekend backing the three other bands that we enjoyed here whilst managing to cart her drums to various other Devon gigs!
