When I say hot I mean SCORCHIO! The Volvo Pentas had just powered the vessel from Exeter Fabrication to Turf Lock Devon and it was warm work crawling over that engine. The added truth is that my fine-knit Guernsey jumper may have looked appropriate with me looking purposefully to sea but in this below decks environment frankly, I was over-covered for photography.

Whilst tipping up to a photography job on a motorbike reads well the truth is that a large estate car is the preferable way to travel. On this one though it was all a bit short notice and there’s no parking at Turf’ so a camera back-pack and BMW R1200gs with a tripod bungeed to the back.

I tweeted one of the shots of the vessel approaching Turf and it received a fantastic amount of engagement from both the South West and Scotland its ultimate destination, I think we’ll call that added value?
