OK so we got there in time, with sandwiches and a thermos, problem, only a fool would try to complicate things by eating sandwiches and drinking coffee in such a torrent.
I have to admit pragmatism took over this year, the D610 felt like a camera that was drowning (literally) and the pressure to save it took over.
Hats off to the competitors and marshals though.
