The trip from Exeter to Madeira Drive wasn’t easy, it was never going to be on back to school weekend. I had wondered about going on my motorbike but we had a lot of camera equipment and I was collecting a large studio stand from Caterham on the way; or on the way back as it transpired.
On the day the weather was good, too good; I was made to wear sunscreen.
The morning practice was leisurely and as ever a great spectacle. The range of vehicles and people is always pleasing, the 27 Litre Bentley and Rolls cars drew attention alongside an awesome range of cars, bikes and the odd three wheeler.
I love the vehicles but the event would be nothing without the people, we were pleased to have lured some locals to the event. This really is a special motoring event, look after it people.
