Patrick May and I have a common interest, he has a lovely old BMW R80gs; and old really is a good thing. Some day I would like to photograph his bike too, but on this day a headshot was what was needed.

Patrick runs a property business based in Barnfield Crescent (Exeter) and wanted a single headshot photograph for a magazine article, due to copy deadlines we had to arrange the portrait shoot at short notice. Client Mark Turner recommended me (thank you Mark), but then I had photographed his daughter the week before on her prom night.

A lot can be achieved in these shoots, the face to face time is typically under an hour. We typically like a bit of space to breathe afterwards, check the files, tidy up any ‘on the day skin blemishes’ but let us know if you have a tight deadline.

Ideally wear something that you are comfortable in, if we have time a couple of nearby locations, maybe inside and outdoors all the better; it’s always good to have a small selection of shots to choose from.
